nightmare city [3]
It starts off strong. Like, really strong. Like, oh dang they're actually going to make a videogame this time. Of course it's Ubisoft so sooner than later you find yourself in a "chase" where your throwing knives are disabled since otherwise there would be no "chase" consisting of the hunted stands around and waits while you clip into geometry and find yourself bewildered by a jumping puzzle so poorly designed that you honestly don't recall which part is the beginning or end, or an NPC will punch you through a wall of other NPCs which are somehow keeping you glued to the spot, etc. But those are to be expected and what wasn't is, up to this point, how few bad ideas there are. I was kind of amazed by how fast paced it at least feels after Okami made me want to put a bullet in my brain. Asscreedtwo probably never could have been mariothree. Games have changed. But the gamers changed first, and they I mean we I mean I am probably getting the softwares we deserve, all things considered, no more and no less. There is no way I can clear this before midnight. Would have to be the shortest work shift ever, a week after the shortest holiday weekend shift ever. That does not typically happen. On one hand, to force-feed the rest would guarantee that I would totally lose this mostly positive feeling for this game and fully hate it by the end. On the other I did once re-up a rented Prince of Persia Warrior Within just to get the good/bad ending. I don't think I ever finally did. That was probably where this "vendetta," as the Borgias called it, began for me. |

nightmare city [2]
Apparently there was a line. We know only because we crossed it. Somehow I slept too little yet not enough to be not enough, if you feel me. And I'm all messed up. Sleepwalking through work is significantly less advisable when surrounded by deadly chemicals. After that I should really be exercising but instead I ate food which is LITERALLY how you get fat. Literally. What the hell! Sure I get tired, I get incoherent - I basically just am tired and incoherent from jumpstreet. But I do not get foggy like this, ever. This is a scarier level of fail than I am accustomed to and I do not care for it. Maybe went too far, this week. May it pass. Please. (I was already hating what I was becoming but it never followed me home before)Last time we mathematically proved that AC2 could never satisfy. (We'll politely unacknowledge how little of anything else I accrue in this life slices that particular mustard.) Like the late Major "Mike" Bison we shall face this inevitability together, Dee Jay, with the stoicism of the true warrior. ...okay I can't even focus on providing running commentary because I am totally in holy-terrified awe of the main character's boots. Those are the finest modeled boot graphics I've ever seen. That must've taken weeks to model. Like, on each. Oh god the bump mapping |
